Our story.
Safari Investment Capital was founded by John Nordeman and Matt Rudey, who have worked together for nearly 30 years building, acquiring, investing in, and operating businesses. Their partnership spans multiple entrepreneurial ventures, including Matt’s co-founding of Global Realty Outsourcing, which was subsequently acquired by Accenture (NYSE: ACN) and is currently the largest global real estate servicing platform with 8,000+ employees. Then Matt and John co-founded Safari Energy, which they built into the nation’s leading commercial solar development platform, acquired by PPL Corporation (NYSE: PPL) in 2018. Over the past decade, they have invested in and helped guide a portfolio of founder-led private companies across multiple sectors, participating in dozens of successful liquidity events through strategic acquisitions and public offerings. Together they have achieved a CAGR in excess of 38%.
Joining John and Matt as Partners are Greg Streiff and David Heyman who have worked alongside them for over a decade. The four first partnered at Safari Energy, where David served as Chief Financial Officer and later Chief Executive Officer, overseeing the closing and pro-forma integration of Safari Energy into PPL. Greg served as Head of Mergers & Acquisitions, executing the platform’s growth strategy, and has since advised high-growth technology and sustainability companies on capital raising and commercialization. Having sourced, structured, and integrated complex acquisitions together, Greg and David bring the hands-on operational and transactional rigor required to evaluate right-fit businesses—and what support they need to thrive on our platform.
